May 1st: Stewart Creek Hole #17

Stewart Creek Hole #17 "Bedrock" 164yd Par3
http://www.stewartcreekgolf.com/golf/vrtour/golf_window.php

(No shots of #17 ...despite the cool bedrock. Very curious to see what it looks like in 3D ... this one with the layer of clouds is quite picturesque if I do say so myself sirs)

Stewart Creek:
Stewart Creek's wide fairways have plenty of ups and downs. The front nine provides spectacular views along the Rundle Range west to Cascade Mountain, while the back nine looks east towards Pigeon Mountain, Wild Tower, and the foothills beyond.

The main complaint heard against this course is that it is not a $200 course...09CRO Solution: Post-2pm Sunday reduced rate teetimes--only $150cad and we do have that first tee time. I think we'll manage to enjoy ourselves. Yabadabadoooo!

Another movie you may have heard of:

BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN

While the movie is set in the Big Horn Mountains of Wyoming, it was filmed almost entirely in the Canadian Rockies in southern Alberta. The "Brokeback Mountain" in the movie is so named because the mountain has the same swayback curve as a brokeback horse or mule, which is swaybacked or sagging in the spine, is actually a composite of Mount Lougheed south of the town of Canmore to Fortress and Moose Mountain in Kananaskis Country. The campsites were filmed at Goat Creek, Upper Kananaskis Lake, Elbow Falls and Canyon Creek, also in Alberta.
