(Panorama of #9 and #18)

One course down... five beauts still to play, feel free to check out the website for Stewart Creek http://www.stewartcreekgolf.com/golf/

Stewart Creek:
More forgiving than Silvertip but no less fun, Stewart Creek opened in 2000 and is the first of two planned courses at Three Sisters Mountain Village. The Three Sisters mountain range overlooks the golf course and offers enchanting target lines along the way, but hookers and slicers need not fear; there is barely a man-made mound anywhere on the course, and the fairways are mercifully wide, most notably on the opening holes. All bets are off (or on) when you step onto the tee at No. 18, an altitude-aided 530-yard par 5 that is reachable.

Canada Golf and 1001 Holes to Play Before you Die:
Score golf magazine, Canada's Golf Digest, recently ranked the courses we are playing as follows:

JASPER #5, BANFF #11, MT. KIDD #27, STEWART CREEK #30, GREYWOLF #37

(This ranking consists of both public and private courses throughout Canada)

Golf Digest awards 4.5stars to 5/6 courses we are playing (one fell short with a recent 4-star, we'll see if you can tell the difference). In addition, only 1 of the courses failed to have a signature hole in the book, 1001 Holes to Play Before you Die, (but one makes up for it by having 2). Stay tuned for later mention of these holes (#9 at Stewart Creek was the first of these you have seen)!

  1. Apologies for the late arrival of Sunday's post...I didn't have my computer up on the ledge with me. Finally made my way down, and realized, so many things I can do with the first day of our second golf extravaganza .... let's just say i'm excited...the wait will make it more worth it.
