May 4th: Silvertip Hole #2

Silvertip Hole #2 -- 514yd Par5 Handicap 8

Silvertip:

The shortest par 5 on the course is number 2...but don't be fooled, accuracy is at a premium. Aim your tee shot left of the large fir tree in the middle of the fairway.

A graceful osprey dives just as you tee your ball at the picture-perfect first hole of Silvertip. His bounty is a rainbow trout; yours is an "extreme mountain golf experience." "You know from the start that this is going to be something unique." said Les Furber, the veteran Canadian designed with 100 designs worldwide. "Silvertip has the greatest elevation change of any course that we have ever designed." The slope rating is a mind-boggling 153 from the back tees (everyone seems to say it's 153, while the scorecard suggests otherwise). The 610ft variance in elevation makes for an exhilarating experience.
