Mt.Kidd Hole #14

Mt. Kidd @ Kananaskis Country Golf Course Hole #14 505yd Par4 Handicap 4

A well-placed drive can leave the longer hitter with an opportunity to go for the green in two. Laying up can even be a tricky proposition with two strategically placed fairway bunkers, and a large hill to the right, which can create a blind shot. Four green-side traps, a river on the right, and trees immediately left, make any approach shot nerve-wracking.
Kananaskis Country GC:
The courses are surprisingly level given their volatile terrain, but there's more then enough danger lurking in the elegant layouts as the holes wind through the groves of indigenous coniferous and tricky water hazards that are harder to carry than they first appear. That old master of design, Robert Trent Jones Sr., felt the land he was given to ply his trade was "the best natural setting I've ever been given to work with." Two gems of Canadian Rockies golf.
More About My Favorite Furry Friends -- Not Camping :
If disturbed by a grizzly while sleeping, use any means necessary to startle the bear, then pack up and move on. You really should be sleeping in a tent in grizzly country, and hopefully you remembered to change your clothes after eating.

Making noise doesn't work in this situation, and running is an invitation to attack. The best course of action is to retreat slowly, avoiding eye contact. Even if you're paralyzed and can't move, it's crucial to avoid eye contact. If you stare, the bear will see you as a threat.
