Mt. Kidd @ Kananaskis Country Golf Course Hole #17 378yd Par4 Handicap 12
This tee shot is as scenic as it is intimidating. Watching your golf ball climb Mt. Kidd can be a great experience if you can get over how narrow the fairway looks from the teeing ground. The fairway does open more to the left hand side than it looks from the tee. The perfect drive is just left of the fairway bunkers, which will leave you the best angle in to the small and very well-bunkered green.
Kananaskis Country GC:
Kananaskis has two gems in Mount Kidd and Mount Lorette. Both designed by famed architect Robert Trent Jones, who once called the area "the best natural setting I've ever been given to work with," Mount Lorette is flatter and has more water, while Mount Kidd, with its more irregularly shaped greens, is hillier and sandier. Mount Lorette puts more emphasis on the tee shots and the greens are huge; Mount Kidd puts more emphasis on approach shots.
